Poisson d'avril!

France doesn't celebrate April Fool's Day, but instead "April Fish," where kids stick paper fish on the backs of classmates and adults. Teachers are naturally prime targets. I find it a cute and charming tradition (which apparently dates back to... a really long time ago...), though can be frustrating when you're actually trying to accomplish important things during class, and the kids are more interested in making paper fish and sticking them to their classmates' backs.

my fish collection, all from 5th-graders, missing one that Célia wanted back (!)

fish from Camille that I found particularly adorable!

fish from Lisa, also adorable
