Two weeks ago I just couldn't handle Paris' parisianess anymore and high-tailed it south to one of my favorite places in France: Montaud. (Click on the label link at the end of this entry to see about my previous visits to Montaud.) Spending four days in under the blissfully hot southern sun, taking in the refreshingly clear air and marveling at the vast starry skies was the perfect antidote to exhausting and sometimes frustrating city life.
Château on a hill
We drank wine that was hand-made (and foot-stomped!) merely two weeks before
Inside the chapel of the château, where I had never been before
Piles of roof tiles
A new window in an old château
A pomegranate tree!
Perfect evening
The grapes were warm from the sun
A plain of vines, freshly harvested
It was really hard to get back on the train for Paris!
