Happy Thanksgiving!

9:00 AM Thanksgiving morning, from my classroom window.
The kids were wild all day, but I was excited too. There's just something special about that first snowfall. I remember writing last year about how it's fun, too, because it adds a new, different word to our daily weather report in class (remember, this is x6 per day for me!) and changes from the recent, incredibly repetitive, "today is cold, cloudy, windy and rainy." But it's so true, and the kids get really excited to finally use that rare piece of vocabulary they usually only get to laugh at:
"Is today hot?"
"Nooooo!"
"Is today snowy?"
"*giggle* Nooooo!!!"
Things I'm thankful for: natural phenomena that make my teaching job just a bit easier every now and then.
